I haven’t put it up, but I’ve been trying very hard to get a job. I’ve already had an interview about three weeks ago and still haven’t been called back. I’ve called the place four times now and left my number, but still nothing. So I’m moving on from that. It was only a summer job, anyways. I’ve also applied to Home Depot, tried to apply to Walmart but they don’t have their Juneau location listed on their website and you have to apply online. So there goes that. My friend Jasmine was supposed to get me a job with her, but some drama happened that I wasn’t DIRECTLY involved in, so I don’t think that’s happening. I’ve met some new people, though, and I’m hoping to utilize that. I even had a phone interview with Petco about a month and a half ago. They said they wanted to interview me face-to-face, so if I don’t get this job I’m trying for now, I’ll try that again.
Today I’m going to get an application as a medical receptionist at a vet clinic! This vet clinic serves all of SE Alaska, AND has Saturday work. 40 hours a week full time, 20-25 part time. I really hope it’ll be a good fit. I’ve had three jobs before and gotten fired from each one for stupid reasons, so hopefully I can hold this job, especially as I would like to one day be very involved in the veterinary field. I can’t see why I won’t get this job, though, because I’m (somewhat) organized, I’m a great typist, good with Microsoft Word, and I’m pretty good with people. I think this job seems like a good fit, even if it is busy, busy, busy. AND working there I’ll get a 25% discount on Megan’s stuff. Good thing, too! I have to get her updated on her shots and stuff. Whoo!
